A St. Maarten Artist on the World Stage
Jay Mills began his journey as a young artist in St. Maarten. Through discipline, dedication, and the belief that talent from a small island can reach the world, he has become one of the most compelling dance artists and choreographers working today. His class at Millennium Dance Complex in Los Angeles drew a full house, and it is easy to see why.
His recent performance at the Super Bowl stands as a testament to what is possible when a young Caribbean artist is given the space, the training, and the belief that their work matters. Jay is exactly the kind of alumnus Art Saves Lives exists to produce, and to celebrate.
Sponsoring 25 Students from St. Maarten
Art Saves Lives Foundation was proud to sponsor 25 students from Indisu Dance Theater of St. Maarten to attend Jay's class at Millennium Dance Complex. Watching him command the room with powerful, epic choreography left everyone in awe. For young artists from a small island, seeing one of their own at that level, in that room, is something that changes how they see what is possible for themselves.
